Teen/Tween Room Organization
Everyone knows what it’s like to either be a teen or have a teen. Teens and tweens are at times difficult to communicate with and the more we want them to do something, the less they want to do it (or so it seems). One area that parents struggle with is keeping the room clean. A reoccurring problem I see with dis-organization for adults, kids and teens is things not having a defined or specific home. So when it’s time to clean the room, it is a challenge. When it doesn’t get done, parents get frustrated and see it as rebellion (and it could be), but don’t consider that perhaps there is a bigger problem – lack of organizational systems in place to support a clean room.
This is where I can help. I have a teen too, and I can say something to him 5 times and I am never heard, but if another adult says it, it’s like he’s heard it for the first time. Raise your hand if you’ve ever experienced that with your kids? (I see everyone’s hand is up!) He doesn’t mean to, I know that, it’s just how it is.
I can work with your teen to assist them in setting up organizational systems that work for them. I am the neutral party that doesn’t push buttons, but is just there to help them reach the end goal. I can teach your teen organizational skills to help them keep their home environment neat and organized.

“My daughter was in those in-between years. When she’s not a kid and not a teen either. With Maureen’s help, we purged a ton of toys and outgrown clothes to make room for new.”
